Professionally produce breathing gas mixtures
In the PADI Tec Gas Blender Course, you will learn to precisely and safely produce Enriched Air Nitrox using suitable blending procedures. The focus is not only on calculating the desired oxygen percentage but also on analyzing, labeling, documenting, and safely handling oxygen.
The course offered on this page focuses on Enriched Air Nitrox. Trimix should only be mentioned here if this training is actually included in your course price.
What you will learn in the course
In theoretical and practical lessons, you will cover:
- the properties of the gases used
- the advantages and disadvantages of various blending methods
- calculating the required gas mixture
- producing a Nitrox mixture within the specified tolerance
- correctly analyzing the finished mixture
- labeling and documenting a cylinder fill
- potential hazards when handling oxygen
- appropriate risk management measures
- the basics of oxygen cleaning
- the requirements for oxygen-compatible equipment and oxygen service
All practical work is carried out under expert guidance with suitable equipment. The course is a qualification for producing breathing gas mixtures and not a technical diving course.
Requirements
To participate, you must:
- be at least 18 years old
- be certified as a PADI Enriched Air Diver or hold a recognized equivalent qualification
