PADI Night Diver Course.

Night Diving

After sunset, the familiar underwater world changes: in the beam of your dive light, you’ll discover different animals, colors, and details than during the day. In the PADI Night Diver course, you will learn to plan night dives carefully and navigate safely even with limited visibility.

What you will learn in the course

Under personal guidance, you will practice:

• Planning and preparing night dives safely
• Using primary and backup lights correctly
• Assessing entry and exit points in the dark
• Using light signals to communicate with your dive buddy
• Navigating with a compass and natural landmarks
• Maintaining buoyancy and awareness in limited visibility
• Observing nocturnal animals respectfully
• Responding correctly to light failure and other special situations

Planning, light handling, navigation, and communication are central components of the PADI Night Diver course. PADI also lists these components and three night dives.

Training is conducted with one-on-one instruction. During three training dives at the lake, you can gradually get used to diving at night and practice all procedures at your own pace.
