PADI Enriched Air (Nitrox) Course at Lake Ammersee.

Dive safely with Enriched Air Nitrox

Enriched Air Nitrox contains a higher oxygen and lower nitrogen content than standard compressed air. For many dive profiles, this allows for longer no-decompression limits and shorter surface intervals.

To ensure you use Nitrox safely, the PADI Enriched Air Diver course teaches you how to check the gas mixture, determine the maximum operating depth, and correctly set your dive computer.

What you will learn in the Nitrox course

• Benefits and potential risks of Enriched Air Nitrox
• Independently analyze the oxygen content of a scuba tank
• Determine the maximum operating depth of the gas mixture
• Account for oxygen exposure during dive planning
• Correctly set your dive computer to the Nitrox mixture being used
• Label tanks and fill out the Enriched Air log
• Safely plan dives with different oxygen percentages

Theory and practical application

You will complete the theoretical foundations flexibly with PADI eLearning. Afterwards, we will discuss the content in the how2dive classroom and practice gas analysis, labeling, and documentation together.

No training dives are required for this certification.

Included in the PADI Nitrox course

• PADI E-Learning
• Personalized training in the how2dive classroom
